The Satya Scholarship Program 2025 is an initiative by the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust to support deserving and meritorious students—especially girls—from the Ludhiana district, pursuing higher education in medical and professional fields.
About the Program
The Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust (Trust) is deeply committed to empowering young minds—especially girl students—by enabling them to pursue higher education. To achieve this, the Trust has launched the Satya Scholarship Program, a merit-cum-means initiative that covers 100% of the annual course fees for students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
The scholarship is open to students enrolled in the first year of 3–5 year undergraduate or integrated master’s degrees in Commerce, Engineering, and Medical fields at selected colleges and universities in Ludhiana district. Recipients of this scholarship will be known as Satya Scholars.
Through this initiative, the Trust seeks to nurture talent, inspire dreams, and help deserving students continue their education with confidence and dignity.
About Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust
The Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust was founded in 1983 by Late Shri Sat Paul Mittal as a tribute to the vision of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The Trust is dedicated to promoting education, social welfare, and the ideals of secularism and democracy.
Satya Scholarship Program for Medical Courses 2025
- Application Deadline: 15 November 2025
- Eligible Courses: MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Sc. (Nursing), and B.Sc. (Paramedics)
- Location: Selected colleges and universities in Ludhiana district
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently in the first year of MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Sc. (Nursing), or B.Sc. (Paramedics) at selected Ludhiana colleges.
- Must have passed Class 12 board exams from Ludhiana district with minimum 60% marks.
- Annual family income must not exceed INR 5 Lakh from all sources.
- Orphan students’ guardian’s income should also not exceed INR 5 Lakh.
- Preference given to: girls, sportspersons (state/national/international level), persons with disabilities, orphans, and children of single parents.
- Must maintain 75% attendance, good conduct, and a minimum 6 GPA or 60% to continue scholarship.
- Applicants should not receive any other educational scholarship concurrently.
Scholarship Benefits
- Scholarship covers the entire annual course fee for the duration of the course (up to 5 years).
- Refundable charges such as caution or security deposits are excluded.
- If any course fee was already paid for admission, it will be reimbursed to the scholar or parent’s bank account.
- Hostel and mess charges may be covered on a case-by-case basis for students mandated to reside on campus.
- After graduation, scholars are encouraged to voluntarily support at least one student in the future as part of the Trust’s legacy initiative.

- Parental income proof (Tehsildar/BDP certificate, ITR/Form 16, or salary slips)
- Affidavit for orphan/single parent students (if applicable)
- Bank account details of applicant and parents
- Crisis-related documents (death certificate or critical illness proof, if applicable)
- PWD certificate or sports achievement proof (if applicable)
- Statement of Purpose (SOP) explaining aspirations and motivation for applying
