🎓 Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM) 2025–26
The Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM) is an initiative of the Government of West Bengal to support meritorious and economically weaker students pursuing higher education. Named after Swami Vivekananda, it reflects his vision of empowering youth through education and personal excellence.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- Applicants must be enrolled in recognized institutions located in West Bengal.
- Applicants should have secured the following minimum marks:
- At least 60% marks in the last qualifying exam (for HS and UG students).
- 53% marks for PG General courses.
- 55% marks for Technical/Engineering PG programs.
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Applicants should not receive any other government scholarship simultaneously.
- Kanyashree K2 beneficiaries are eligible under the K3 component for PG studies.

- Marksheet of last qualifying examination (both sides)
- Scanned copy of bank passbook (first page with account number & IFSC code)

- Declaration of Head of Institution (for gap year cases)
- Scanned signature (JPG/JPEG, 10KB–20KB)
