Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this elite government internship, candidates must meet the following:
- Academic Status: Currently enrolled in a Graduation or Post-Graduation course at a recognized university.
- Academic Record: Must have secured at least 60% marks in the last semester/exam.
- Preferred Disciplines: While open to all, preference is given to students of Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Social Sciences, Disaster Management, or Public Policy.
- Interest: A genuine passion for working in disaster management and field research.

How to Apply

- Register using your mobile number and email.
- Fill out the Google Form/Application link with your academic details and submit.
Offline Method:
- Download the application form from the official NIDM website.
- Fill it manually and attach a copy of your Resume (CV), Last Semester Marksheet, and a Recommendation Letter from your college/university.
- Include a Statement of Purpose (SoP) explaining your interest in disaster management.
- Send it via Speed Post to the Delhi office or email it to info.nidm@nic.in.
Selection Process
The selection is highly competitive and follows a two-step process:
- Shortlisting: Based on academic merit (60% criteria) and the quality of the SoP.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a virtual or physical interview to assess their knowledge and dedication to the field.
