🎓 CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child 2025
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) invites applications for the Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child 2025. This scheme provides financial assistance to meritorious single girl children who have passed the Class 10 examination from CBSE-affiliated schools and are pursuing higher secondary education (Class 11–12). Selected students will receive ₹1,000 per month for up to 2 years.

Eligibility
- Must be an Indian national.
- Must be a single female child (only child of the parents).
- Must have passed the Class 10 examination from a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Must have secured 70% or more marks in the first five subjects in the Class 10 exam.
- Must be studying in Class 11 or 12 in a CBSE-affiliated school where tuition fee does not exceed ₹3,000 per month (for NRI candidates the cap is ₹6,000 per month).
- NRI applicants of the Board are eligible subject to the NRI tuition fee limit.

How to Apply
- Click the Apply Now button below to go to the CBSE scholarship page.
- Click ‘Register’ (if new) or log in using your Gmail/Mobile/Email ID.
- Go to ‘Apply Online’ & choose ‘Single Girl Child Scholarship – 2025 (Fresh Application)’.
- Enter your Class 10 roll number and date of birth (as printed on the grade sheet).
- Fill in all details carefully and submit the form.
- Print the undertaking from the Guidelines, paste the photograph, get it attested by the school principal and prepare the affidavit as per format.
- Upload the scanned documents as a single PDF (max 1 MB) via the ‘Upload Document’ option.
- Generate & save the confirmation page from the ‘Confirmation Page’ option after successful submission.

Selection Criteria
The selection of candidates will be based on academic merit — primarily the Class 10 marks as per the norms described in the official guidelines. Renewal for the second year depends on promotion and maintaining minimum marks as specified in the guidelines.
Terms & Conditions
- Scholarship will be renewed for a second year on successful completion of Class 11, subject to securing 50% or more in the promotion examination.
- If a scholar drops out or changes course/school, continuation will require CBSE approval.
- Scholarship once cancelled will not be renewed. The decision of the Chairman, CBSE, will be final.
- Any disputes arising out of the scheme are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Delhi/New Delhi.
- Incomplete/offline/hard-copy applications will not be accepted.
